ABOUT
Hailing from Sheridan, Wyoming, Trout Goggles is a bluegrass band known for their upbeat tunes about fishing excursions, mountain life, and good times with good friends.
Trout Goggles got its start at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains, where a shared love of songwriting and acoustic music brought the group together. Each member brings their own songwriting to the table, capturing everything from the highs and lows of a day on the river to late nights in mountain towns and the adventures that come with chasing fish, fresh air, and a good time.
While bluegrass is at the heart of their sound, their influences reach well beyond it. Jamgrass, Canadian and Irish folk traditions, and pop-punk all find their way into the mix. Don't be surprised to hear a train or penny whistle alongside driving guitar riffs—or songs about fishing, pub crawls, and the occasional nautical adventure.
FAQ: What’s up with the band name?
It came from a sunny day on the river and a very important question: "Do trout need goggles?"
